Home to the headquarters of the Professional Golfers’ Association of America (PGA), Palm Beach Gardens is considered “the golf capital of the world”. The Honda Classic, a Florida Swing tour stop on the road to the majors, is played at PGA National Resort & Spa. Golf legends such as Jack Nicklaus, Hank Kuehne Ernie Els, Tiger Woods, and Freddie Couples have all played at PGA National. In fact many of them even live in Palm Beach Gardens. Downtown at the Gardens is a beautiful unique, open-air, pedestrian only shopping area featuring a multitude of restaurants, frozen yogurt stores, toy stores, a carousel, and some of the nation’s finest specialty retailers. Adjacent to the downtown area is the Gardens Mall, a luxurious 1.4 million square foot regional shopping center, boasting over 160 fine retailers
In addition to wonderful shopping and dining, Palm Beach Gardens also offers plenty of nature. With more than 30 percent of its land dedicated to green space, Palm Beach Gardens Parks features amenities that include covered playgrounds, tennis courts, handball courts, walking trails, kayak launches and pavilions for picnicking. The city of Palm Beach Gardens is also in close proximity to the beautiful John D. MacArthur Beach State Park, a wonderful place to take the family snorkeling or exploring the Mangrove trails.
